Each TOURAcademy Instructor is a carefully selected career-teaching professional certified to the exacting standards of the TOURAcademy brand. Certification requires a commitment to the “Standards of Excellence” and a demonstrated level of expertise in instruction, fitness, and club fitting.

Shane Gillespie is GM of International Business Development and Head Instructor for TOURAcademy International. Gillespie has been with the TOURAcademy since 2009, when he was brought in to be the Head Instructor at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes location. From there, he moved to TOURAcademy TPC Sawgrass, where he served the dual role of Head Instructor for the Academy and TOURAcademy International. Gillespie took on a dedicated role with the international junior development program in early 2012.Before joining the TOURAcademy, Gillespie owned and operated his own academy, the Inner Circle of Golf, in Brandon, Fla. It was here that Shane started to focus on developing elite junior players, using an extensive network of leading sports psychologists and fitness trainers to assist in their development. A number of the junior high and high school students Gillespie coached received college scholarships and won district, regional, and state championships.As Head Instructor of TOURAcademy International, Gillespie oversees the training and development of top-level junior golfers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. The goal is to provide them with a pathway from junior golf to college and professional golf, and to teach them how to become champions both on the golf course and in their communities. Over the last several years, Gillespie and his team of teaching professionals have coached an impressive number of these juniors to victory in competitive tournaments around the globe, including the Callaway Junior World Golf Championship and Greg Norman International Masters. A handful of players from the CIMB Junior Golf Development Program have also earned collegiate golf scholarships in the U.S. while two other players have qualified for the Asian Tour.Prior to becoming a golf instructor, Shane worked in the automotive business, working primarily in the sale of automotive parts to OEM manufacturers. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
